Researchers working independently of each other at two different universities believe they've discovered something about Alzheimer's Disease that will be useful in developing treatments for the disease. An article in the New York Times describes the finding--- namely, how the distorted protein that results in brain cell death is transmitted to other cells and areas of the brain.
